In recent years, Elli has converted the Methodist Chapel at Fletchertown for personal use as a Studio and "pop up" gallery. She attends life drawing sessions when she can. Her approach has been investigative, but focussed largely on single figure. This has led to an interest in portraiture.
Her piece "Refuge" was commissioned for the Kendal Calling Festival, and she won the Allerdale "Heart of the Art" competition. She has exhibited regionally, but always exhibits annually in her local area of North Cumbria i.e. at Wigton and Fletchertown. After her successful "C Art" debut, she was invited to exhibit at the London Art Fair in Chelsea Town Hall and this resulted in her inclusion in the "Artists in the World" exhibitions this year, 2019, currently in the Art Gallery, Rome, Italy. To be followed in a further international Art show in Venice, concurrent with the Venice Bienniale.

Prior to her practice as a visual Artist, Ellie had a full-time career first of all as a Draughtsperson in an architect's practice, then as a lecturer and education manager, and she also taught in the Humanities area and Art History for the Open University.
